We at Echo Community want to provide you with men and women who are a few steps ahead on the journey to walk alongside you as you seek to answer God's call in your life. These men and women have experience in many different areas. Whether you are seeking a one-time opportunity to chat with someone, or you are seeking ongoing support for a season, read through the profiles below and schedule a chat.
These conversations are ordered toward your life as a Catholic disciple...and surround areas such as growing your life of prayer, growing in the gift of chastity and other virtues, ordering your life toward the Kingdom, growing in your own leadership, and other similar areas of support. Some of our mentors are trained spiritual directors and may be able to establish a longer-term spiritual direction relationship.

ELLIE WEAVER
I am Ellie Weaver, wife of Trey Weaver for almost 8 years. Three years ago I responded to a call from the Lord to begin training to become a Spiritual Director. This call came out of my desire to accompany others as they learn the art of prayer, the beauty of holiness, and profound joy that comes from union with God. I hope to walk alongside people in their prayer life and help them to grow in their personal relationship with Jesus. That process may include discussion of their prayer life, friendships, family, physical and mental health, all parts of life that make us human. We are the most vulnerable and honest with God when we can bring our full humanity into prayer.

GEMMA WILDSMITH
Hi! I’m Gemma. I have a background in youth and young adult formation and discipleship. I have a post graduate diploma in Theology, and have training in Spiritual Accompaniment through the Catholic Bible School in the UK. The values that I try to live by are availability, relationship, and generosity. These core values help me discern not just specific circumstances, but the deeper way of life that the Lord invites me into, through looking for the opportunities that allow me to live these values more fully. It’s part of the reason that I ended up in Louisiana, working with Echo Community, as a missionary from England! My greatest joy in accompanying others is to see them become more free, more alive, and more themselves as they discern and follow God’s will for their life and relationships. I particularly love to talk about prayer, discernment, hearing God’s voice, life decisions, and the journey towards healing, wholeness, and holiness!

ROB STAMPER
Rob is first a beloved son of the Father, a joyful husband, and the passionate father of three young sons. For years, he has shared a heart for walking with others on their faith journeys, specifically accompanying men as they discern their vocational calls, strive for virtue, and root themselves in the truth of their identity. Because everyone is unique and unrepeatable, Rob’s approach to mentoring is deeply personal. Whether it is providing accountability in daily prayer, accompaniment in the pursuit of chastity and other virtues, or encouragement in building authentic and healthy vulnerable relationships, Rob meets men exactly where they are and walks with them for a time to where our Lord is calling them.

JANET HOWELL
I am Janet Howell, wife and mother, and I serve as the Office Manager and Hospitality Coordinator at Echo Community. I have the privilege of walking alongside people as they discover faith, confidence, and the life God is calling them to embrace. Before Echo, I spent 15+ years in the corporate world, learning the challenge of balancing work, family, and faith. I seek to listen with care, offering practical insight and encouragement when helpful. I journey with others as they discern life decisions, deepen their relationship with God, and navigate seasons of transition. I especially treasure accompanying people as they grow in confidence in their faith and come to see the unique gifts God has placed within them.

BRIAN BUTLER
As a son, brother, husband, father, grandfather, disciple, evangelist, and leader, I wear a lot of hats and can connect with people in a variety of seasons of life. When mentoring, I love to listen, encourage, empower, inspire, and challenge. I especially thrive in helping others through conversations about leadership, public speaking, relationship dynamics, vocational discernment, career challenges, personal goals, overcoming patterns of sin, and overall growth in chastity.
