TABOR TRIP
September 14-18, 2023
The Tabor Trip brings a small group of young men deep into the mountains of the Montana wilderness, into the depths of God’s beauty in creation, and exposes them to the beauty of Christ and of life-giving fellowship with their fellow men.
St. John Paul II knew the effect that natural beauty has on the human heart and how it places a man in a posture of receptivity. By inviting men into this posture, Tabor will be a transforming experience for them. As they hike into the Absaroka-Beartooth Wilderness above 8,000 feet in elevation and camp alongside Mystic Lake in the wilds of Montana, they will come to understand who they are made in God’s image and likeness by experiencing him in the sacraments and Eucharistic Adoration. They will learn their calling and duty as men through mentorship given by men of deep faith and moral character, and they will come to see they can not stay up on the mountain, but must come down and live a life fully alive in the community they live in on a daily basis. |
